REMITTANCES FROM U.S. STILL TOP OF LIST

As usual, overseas remittances in the country are still led by Filipinos in the U.S. Figures from the Central Bank of the Philippines for 2008 show total remittances of US$7.825 Billion from Filipinos in the U.S, followed by Saudi Arabia and Canada, with $1.387 Billion and $1.308 Billion, respectively.

Rounding the other top 15 countries are (in order) United Kingdom, Italy, UAE, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Taiwan, Norway, Australia, Kuwait, and Qatar.
